Appaloosa is a soft or gradient flank-centered marking which has a blanketing affect on the area. This area may then have hard or soft holes expressed in the form of spots. In it's dominant form, Appaloosa may extend further up the body and cover the entire tail region. Use real-world examples of Appaloosa markings to gain an idea of what is acceptable. This marking may be white, lighter than or darker than the base coat. Never black. |
